Pahurehure Inlet and Southern Path

Payment: Please pay in cash on the day if you can – it saves our Club volunteers work. If you forget, don’t worry, we’ll give you the details for an electronic payment.

Return times: Normally 5-7pm, but 6-8pm for trips advertised as “late finish”. However, any trip can be delayed through injury, traffic etc. It’s best not to plan anything for the early evening.

Follow walkways around Pahurehure Inlet, Papakura, returning along the Southern Path. Most of the tramp is on concrete pathways or road side footpaths


From Brylee Reserve, cut across to Great South Road, thru Longford Park link reserve to the Pahurehure inlet and a coastal track to Wellington Park.

Youngs Road leads to Youngs Park where Pahurehure walkway is followed to Elliot St then a couple of walkways and coastal track to the Southern Path on to Conifer Grove,

Follow the coastal walkway back to Brylee Reserve where the walk ends with a brief visit to the wetland area in the reserve. Time approx 5 hours

Destination: Brylee Reserve, Takanini

Departure: 8.30am Club Garage, 31 Sandringham Rd, Kingsland.

8.45 am Marewa Rd, Greenlane, behind Countdown

Cost: $15 Members, $20 Non members Pay in cash on the day.

High tide: 11.30am, not tide dependent but means we will be viewing the sea not mudflats
